After-Hours and Home Visits

Purpose

Coogee Family Medical Centre is committed to ensuring patients have access to appropriate medical care both during and outside normal practice hours, in accordance with the principles outlined in the RACGP Standards for General Practices.

Home Visits

Coogee Family Medical Centre does not provide home visits. Patients requiring medical assessment outside our practice hours, or home visits during practice hours, should use the appropriate after-hours services listed below. If your condition is urgent or you require immediate medical attention, including home-based care, please contact the relevant medical service or, in a life-threatening emergency, call 000 immediately.

Medical Emergencies

If you are experiencing a medical emergency (such as severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke, heavy bleeding, or any life-threatening condition):

Please call 000 immediately.

After-Hours Medical Care

For non-life-threatening medical concerns outside our normal opening hours, please contact SydMed After Hours Doctor Service.

SydMed operates:

• Weekdays: From 6:00 pm
• Saturdays: From 12:00 pm (midday)
• Sundays and Public Holidays: 24 hours

SydMed can provide after-hours home visit services where clinically appropriate.
